About Us
Born in the mountains of North Carolina, Turning Leaves personal care is carefully curated with the finest raw materials available. Each formula has the highest efficacy highlighted by two unique ingredients for personal care … Spruce Essential Oil and Black Walnut Oil.
Black Walnut Oil, harvested locally in Asheville, North Carolina, is an excellent source of essential fatty acids that are vital for skin and scalp health. Walnut Oil contains high concentrations of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) which are converted to omrgas-3’s. Also prevalent is omega-6 fatty acid linoleic acid (LA)which is the most predominant fatty acid in the skin.
Spruce Essential Oil has been touted as an anti-inflammatory with antiseptic properties good for skin and scalp. It also provides (along with a touch of vanilla) the incredible woodsy, unisex fragrance that is in all Turning Leaves products.
The bases are particularly impressive. The first ingredient in our shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion is aloe (not water). This supplies all the benefits of the century’s old raw material, including calming skin irritation, reducing itchiness in the scalp and most importantly, hydrating and nourishing the skin and hair.
Turning Leaves is chock full of nutritional, plant-based ingredients in each product for the ultimate in effectiveness.
What’s not in the formulas is almost as important as what’s in it. No phthalates, no parabens, no Ammonium or Lauryl sulfates, no harsh chemicals and no formaldehyde.
Nick Elliott is the founder of Turning Leaves and his love of nature is the driving force behind the line. Nick believes in the power of nature and these proprietary formulas are the result. Always 100% Vegan, no animal testing, plant based and naturally inspired.
